FAQ / Fragen

Your questions about the vaccination

  • Vaccination during pregnancy

Currently, the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) recommends that pregnant women from the 4th month of pregnancy be vaccinated against COVID-19 with the Comirnaty vaccine from BioNTech/Pfizer. The professional societies also strongly recommend vaccination.

  • The STIKO recommends general booster vaccination of all persons aged 12 years and older, primarily to prevent severe COVID-19 courses, hospitalisations and death. A booster vaccination still provides good protection against severe infection after at least 6-9 months. In addition, even vaccinated persons can become infected with SARS-CoV-2 with increasing time interval from the basic immunisation and then pass on the virus without their own symptoms or in the context of a mild illness. A booster vaccination can significantly reduce SARS-CoV-2 transmission from infected vaccinated persons to other persons for a certain period of time. In addition, booster vaccination can be expected to provide robust vaccine protection for a longer period of time. Combining a basic immunisation with a booster vaccination is already an established procedure for other vaccinations with inactivated vaccines and makes absolute sense from an immunological point of view.

  • We can issue you with a new vaccination certificate or a replacement certificate. You will receive the QR code online a few days after the vaccination.

  • Yes! The booster vaccines use the adapted vaccines. Vaccination reduces breakthrough infections.
